About Me

My Story

Nina Sagar’s journey into Yoga began at the age of 40 years, in 2002, when she was diagnosed with several spinal and shoulder problems. Her entire spine was damaged at all levels from top to bottom. Only by sheer grace of God she was surviving.
She was bed ridden.

One can see her spinal MRI report tests conducted in 2018, which clearly mention several issues from L1 to S1 levels.

Back pain, leg pain, cervical spondylitis, severe chronic migraine, frozen shoulder, poor immunity, weak digestion, sinusitis, weak kidneys, and uterus. She had to endure all at once.

She always kept her faith and belief, with a will stronger than steel—a will to heal herself naturally.

Only when she began to practice the Iyengar Methodology of Yoga did her condition start improving remarkably, day by day. The very fact that she could improve turbocharged her interest in the subject, motivating her to learn more and more. As a result, she devoted increasing time to studying and understanding her body through asanas, with a level of precision previously unknown to her. She had never imagined that yoga could be so scientific and precise. For the first time, she truly understood the meaning of postures (asanas) and alignment. In the years that followed, she never looked back and continued to learn, evolve, and improve herself.Till the day came, all her problems were completely gone!

This test was conducted only to see how the power of Iyengar Yoga had transformed her life, despite all these problems. She now lives pain-free and enjoys a happy and healthy lifestyle, with yoga as the most important part of her life.

She teaches Iyengar Methodology of Yoga wholeheartedly because she believes that nobody has to endure pain. When she can thrive, everyone can—without pain and frustration. Yoga has become so important to her that she would forego meals unless she completes her daily asanas practice.

Ninaji says:
“Food gives me fuel, yoga gives me life.”

Today, after overcoming all her medical problems, Ninaji stands tall as an example to show the world the transformative power of Yoga.

Yoga, a subject of our brilliant, avant-garde sages, should be practiced religiously and with utmost honesty.

She is also a veteran classical music vocalist and singer, bestowing her art through devotional singing. She feels that yoga and music are divine subjects, and she considers herself blessed to devote her time and knowledge to both in service of God.

Yoga should be practiced by anyone and everyone—rich or needy, in any job or profession. Yoga makes you better at whatever you do in life, from work to family.
